Nice one - welcome to Tvan ownership. Plenty of adventures to come, and there's always enhancements to be made during/after each trip!

As a rule, only use cigarette lighter sockets for a max of 10Amps as this is all they are designed for.

I'd Install a separate Andersen plug instead, with a 50Amp fuse, direct to the battery - keeping the leads as short as possible to minimize current losses...

Just had a look at their website... as you have a 12volt system, and the air conditioner (S1 or S2) uses 550 watts which translates to 45 Amps at 12 volts - so that's fine but if you have a 200Ah lithium battery, it will last under 5 hours from full to empty... just saying! Your calculations of 12 Amps is for a 48volt system. You have a 12 volt system so multiply the amps needed at your battery by four!

I've fitted the Ark XO 500 jockey wheel to my TVan. (Not the ratcheting version however). Works well - and I have to turn the van around 90 degrees by hand in a tight garage space - no problems.

I wonder if there's a better option than using zips?  I really hate the noise they make at 2am when someone has to head off to relieve themselves!  Velcro would wear out quick, and still be noisy. What else could hold the canvas and mesh together? Just wondering...

I did what you did - no problems so far. (that's with two Matrix secured on the back. Because the plates are almost vertical, the forces on them don't really "bend" them at all. It is more of a shear force, which they are easily strong enough to cope with. No problems in about 4 years of travels now.

So - you have less room than later models? We have a 2017 Firetail which fits a queen size mattress perfectly.

So does water come out when the pump is on? If so, definitely another outlet.  Other than that, no sure what it would be for?

Spray on CRC rust converter first, then I'm about to apply Septone "Stone Shield" spray.

I'm about to use some spray cans of underbody protection as a final coat on the suspension that has stone chips everywhere.

Replace the pump with a proper well constructed one when it fails - Shurflo pumps are quality units... our Mk4 van came with an inferior version: "Seaflo" pump which failed and has been replaced.

Placed under the bed, right at the back. Still takes up heaps of room, but that's about the only option!
