One job finished,another starts.
Hi all,i would like to refurb the two vertical black panels each side of the draw bar.
It would probably be a better finish if i take them off first.
Apart from that i have no idea what the best way is to bring the surface back to new.All input appreciated.What have you done,or thought about doing?

I'm watching.I thought i had made the right moves for this..but..
I go to user actions,tap on receive emails or allerts,iget nothing.
Is there something i'm missing?Don't want to be a pest,but i allso can't seem to track down the glases icon,that i think tells you you are watching a particular post.

Hi all,hope 2025 has kicked off well for you.
I'm looking at a tidy up of the big steel bits under the van.
I have wire brushed and lightly sanded off the manky bits.(not draw bar it's fine)
I have then brushed on some feronite,rust converter,which seems to have done a good job.
I have used that stuff to good effect around the exterior of the house.
I've some oil based steel undercoat,which i think would be good to use as part two of the job.
Haven't or can not decide what to finish it with.
I haven't undercoated or decided on a top coat yet.
I'd appreciate any thoughts on part 2 and 3,what have others done and how did it go.

I think i have the notifications or allerts,on.
But don't seem to get the allerts.
Maybe there is more to it.
I get the glasses icon come up next to the post,i wish to follow.But seem to not get the
allerts.
I'm thinking i stuffed up something.

Geday all,we are looking into satphones.
They seem about the best portable remote coms thing out there.
Would love to hear which way people have gone.
It seems iridium are the go,on a plan...pricey but could save your life.

We finally had a new(second hand)tvan zenith delivered last week.
Needed to get it flat beded to us,car was in the workshop.
The car is now home,and today is the start of 'the no more tents adventure'cept for the rear area,and that is fairly easy.
Checked all the bits are working,hitched her up,and chuged of around the neighbourhood and surrounds.
Haveing not towed a tvan before,we finally got it.
Apart from the obvious xtra weight,it just sticks to you like glue.It really does feel..not there.
Now to add a few bits,porta loo,
maybe some draws underbed,and all those things we don't know about yet.
Ahh exciting times ahead...
Get a service,get it packed,get on the road.
This has been a long drawn out purchase,so my wife and i are excited to finally hit the road.

Hiall,we have looked at a few tvans in the last couple of years.We haven not bought one yet.
Had a look at a 2008 or 9 the other day.The underneath floor seemed to be made from either a wood composite or ply,painted black.
If it is wood,is it in all tvans?Has someone put it there as a first line of defence,then replace when looking a bit scruffy?
The fellow selling the van had only used it 1 time,and was not really familiar with these things.
It might sound slack,i have never really looked under tvan before,for various reasons,we decided not to buy the van's,so didn't look underneath.

Gedday all,any experiences towing a tvan with an 80 series 1hz.Sand dunes,water crossings,cape trips,general black top towing. I will rent one before we buy.But good to hear one and all opinions.
