Back at ya Connie, I hope the new year brings many happy travels and wonderfull campouts for all.

The previous camper was a rear fold MDC type camper.
The awning was quite heavy, had more poles and connected to camper with a zip.
The TVan awning is a better/easier set up IMHO.

Let me know if you want the details? (FYI: Mines a MkIV Murranji so the internals "should" be the same!)

Unfortunately no. They both have a bungy that stretches around the "mouth" of the Tvan and it would be extremely difficult to stretch the tent bungy around the mouth if the hatch canvas was already in place.

The canvas hatch cover is an upgrade option you can get when ordering your Tvan and has a fly wire screen with a canvas cover, similar to the tent windows. Trak would sell them separately but I'm not sure of the price.

Ok iv gotta ask. Iv been 4x4ing since I was 19. Started in Suzuki stockmans and over the years have had hiluxs, patrols, a verity of landcruisers and even cough cough a Holden, and in all that time playing in sand mud and slime I have never had Need of max trax, are they a gimmick or do they have a practical use apart from vehicle decoration??
