Hi.
We bought an original run Tvan secondhand 7 years ago and it's still going strong. Older models have less to go wrong.
Planning a Big Lap next year.
Check the zippers as these get a lot of use.
Hope to see you around the traps.

Tvan Tvan / Mark1 Annex
February 02, 2021, 04:33:18 PM
Hello Brainstrust!
We have a Mark I and have never used the annex, normally use the quick deploy Awning.
But planning a trip away from next week and the weather is reported to be rain and rain. And  we will be staying at least 4 nights wherever we stop, so the plan was to use the annex for better coverage.
However the youtube video does not apply to us. No sail rails, but have stayputs; Also no parrot beak spreader, but have 2 with "U" hooks on one end.
Have printed out a photo from another thread of a Mark I with annex erected. And think I can work the basics out.
Just really after advice about where to put spreaders in general and how to attach it to the hatch if indeed one goes there.

Tvan Tvan / Pinchweld Side Hatches Mark1
November 20, 2020, 03:44:12 PM
I have to replace the pinchweld around the kitchen and storage hatches.
It had already been replaced, but not with the correct one and the hinges have "eaten" it. :-\
Track is unable to  provide the stats and there are a lot to choose from at Clark Rubber.
Does anyone have the sizing details?

Never judge anyone by the way they mispronounce a word. It means they have learnt it by reading. I remember the moment Brian Henderson used "epitome".... I went  "does he mean epi- tome?" hehehehe

Ditto for Outback Trevs comment for Mark 1,
altho at the Camping Show they said there wasn"t a Mark 1 as such, it was just the wooden prototype. Anyway, a reaaaly early one with no front box.
Regards all.

Any southside suggestions for Sydney?. Canberra is a it far, and so is northern suburbs of Sydney.
I have had the Tvan done a few times at Bold Trailers in Taren Point. They have replaced broken wires to indicators, machined my brakes and put new longer kitchen slides in, as well as routine stuff like wheel bearings.
I have an original series Tvan so I expect to need to do a little more than the newer ones. But still getting me out there.

Tvan Tvan / Re: Southco Compression Locks

The first ones had a larger lockable central latch, and then two of these smaller compression latches each side that weren't lockable, that ensured dust seal I'm thinking.
It's all about whether the smaller ones are the right thickness for the door and then the actual lever is the right length. Think I'll have to take on off to see.

Hi,
I have a 2000 Tvan that needs new compression latches. Have called/emailed Tracktrailer but no help there.
Not 100% sure of size to get. The ovesco ones also don't have the twisty handle  that mine do.
