Tvan Tvan / Re: Smev 2000 series 2 burner stover - suspect thermocouple issue

It’s similar, the section that’s in the flame I assume? I had a look tonight and it does look black and crusty where it sits on the burner.
Yes just the section that protrudes, no need to remove it.

Mine only required a light sand to clean it up.

If it’s like my Domestic, try giving the protruding bits a light polish with 1500 wet and dry.

Mine worked better after that.

My owners manual says that it is there to hang a light off of it
Thanks Daunted.

I'm sure my verandah roof support pole comes off that eyehook

Margaret, is yours a batwing looking awning with few or no legs?

Versalite have kept up with times, the new ones are LED.
I should have said “leave my transistorised fluros for dead”. Yes I attach a LED strip light to this bracket. But is that it’s main purpose, to hang a light?

We have a quick set up awning (with Baron’s brackets). On the back of that we attach an extension tarp to the sail track on the the rear roof, then pull over the ridge and attach to the back of the awning.
The back of the extension is easily supported on a couple of poles.
Quick, easy and simple to set up.

I bought a couple of extensions to the King awning suggested by Baron. I think I will do something similar. I like the idea of securing the extension with sail track. While I like the Track Awning this will be much quicker.

Definitely a good use in times gone by. Now LEDs leave transistorised fluros for dead.

I think you'd better read the first post again. He was asking for suggestions for a hot water system.

And just for the record, because in the quotes above you could misunderstand things, it wasn't me who suggested he stay at home if he wanted a shower.

Gumb, my apologies, you didnt say stay at home if you want a hot shower.

Hi

coolant mixes are either red or green.  You can buy as either concentrate or pre-mix.  Concentrate is more expensive per litre before its diluted.

I would just use the same colour coolant pre-mix.

It would be handy if your tow vehicle used the same colour mix.

good luck, regards pete

Hay Gump I wasn’t having a go at you, but comments like
“if you want a shower like at home stay there”
To me, come across as negative and dismissive
Perhaps I’m to touchy,  as you say we would all have the same setup if we didn’t have different requirements,
Have an opinion by all means,  but there’s no need for negative input.

OP didn’t ask whether or not to have one. Was instead asking for experiences of those who had fitted one.

Thanks, but wouldn’t transport cost to Brisbane be huge for something that big/heavy?
