Camper module now fitted with 3 bolts each side and 1 middle front.
Since the later model trailer is taller tent is now 4" short.
So I am going to fit a light weight fold over hard floor. Will post some pics as it happens
Cheers ,
Mary

Did you end up fitting the hard floor?

Thanks

I know this is a bit late but another great product for painting and rust conversion is called metalfix from Phoenix paints.

I supply equipment to the mining industry and use their products, very impressed with them.

Would probably work best to take the suspension apart and then treat each part.

Alternatively you could have the parts galvanised or anodised and then paint them.

Hi Chris,

The bungee is  the same as the type that is fitted to a well body ute soft cover. Around $20 for a pack from supercheap.

As above have Cooper ST Maxx and they are excellent for many types of terrain.

Also as pointed out earlier make sure you run the tyres at pressures and speeds to suit he conditions otherwise you will end up with shorter life.

Also ran Bridgestone AT 693 which were incredible on a lighter dual cab, not sure how they go on larger trucks though.

Just my 2 bobs worth.....

Have tried many coupling in the past ... Treg... Trigg etc. etc.

Never had any experience with the above though.

Now running a Hylander ball type.

Stupidly easy to hitch up to, has very good articulation (better than pin and bush couplings) super easy maintenance, and is very very strong, and about 1/2 the price of the new fancy couplings.

If you are looking at a new coupling have a look at the Hylander as well.

Hi Eelezy,

1. Just did one door to start with as a trial, couple of little tricky things that needed sorting and adjusting the pin length is critical. Where the bolt that holds the pin there are 3 layers of sheet metal the overlap. had to make up a special washer by supergluing bit together to get a level landing for the pin otherwise when you tighten the bolts it pulls sideways and wont feed properly into the button.

Fairly happy with first fit up but want to fiddle a bit more first with adjustments before fitting remainder, have ordered them though.

2. Once the above is right they pop real easy. just press the button.

3. Delivery was less than a week.

4. Not quite as firmly as the Dzus but enough to hold them tight and seal. I will also be fitting a locking T-latches http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/T-Handle-Locking-Latch-Stainless-Steel-/260641252303?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3caf6de3cf  in place of the bungee cord in the middle. The buttons are mainly for ease of opening and closing when set up for camp, drives me bonkers constanly being asked to open hutches for the kids.

I'm sure there are cheaper options out there for replacing the Dzus but I liked these and we love our trailer so it is work the investment to us.

My Eagle,

Somewhat modified ;-)

Also extended the draw bar 500mm which makes a world of difference to handling.

Another option to the Dzus = Quik Latch.

Tried fitting new Dzus but would have had to take the panels apart........... No thanks.

Work an absolute treat, not to hard to fit with some slight mods to the hole size.

Hi All,

Trying to find the exact same DZus fasteners as on the Eagle 2.

Been all over eBay and quite confused, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
