I have an Evakool 47L in the front box and it's great. (The white fibreglass model which is basically their ice box with a motor attached)
I've also got a 40l Waeco which we use in the tug as a freezer but the Evakool is a far better unit and holds temps better using less power. Highly recommended.

Hi, are still happy with the Evakool? We are looking at either the ARB 60 litre and the Evakool.
Anyone else have any comments?

Tvan Tvan / Re: Innerspring vs pocket spring mattress
November 28, 2018, 08:30:11 AM
Thanks all. We currently have the inner spring and love it but are updating our Tvan and were looking at the pocket spring.
William, it it lighter and easier as in more flexible to make?

Thanks Andrew, we should have taken your route. We decided to take the route recommended in the Hema Atlas and guide which is via West Buffalo and Harry Shepherd. Hema marks the West Buffalo as "E" but we wrongly assumed that rating extended to the HS - wrong! The LC 200 with Tvan was okay but the DMax with Topaz came to a standstill due to no traction. So a little winching, turning around and travelling the way you mentioned which was fine.
Whilst on the topic of track ratings: Hema rate the Cynthia Range Track as "E", but in our view it should be "D", understanding ratings are subjective and dependent on local weather. This was a day trip from Eaglevale not towing.
Anyway we had a great week away explothe High Country.
FYI, if anyone is planning to travel the Dargo High Plains Road is still closed and expected to reopen at the end of the month.

Hi all,
We are planning a trip into Wonnangatta towing with a Tvan (LC200) and a Topaz (Isuzu DMax). The posts I have read discuss towing a Tvan, has anyone towed a Topaz, if so which route did you take in and out of Wonnangatta?
Thanks in advance

Thanks for those responses, I was wondering about Katrin Holmsten's Guide as I had only recently seen it, so it's good to have a review.
