Hi Patrol Dude

Its build up here at the moment 34 deg and 80% humidity, 4 am this morning it was over 26 deg and 89% . The air con goes well even in the middle of the day. Would really recommend if you need some cooling. Thanks I hope the thread helps anyone wanting to install an a/c.

Hi

Evaporative cooling works well in low humidity. Areas around Alice Springs and Tennant Creek they work very well but as you move more north they lose their effectiveness to the point that they are only a fan blowing air .The air is too humid to allow evaporation.

I have nearly finished my air con and now starting on the control box in the mark 2 .
It has been removed and now measuring it up . I will be fitting a redarc BMS 15 amp, hard wiring the a/c and BMS and adding some 12 volt switching. I will post some photos the same as i have done for the a/c. I must say that the factory wiring has been done to last many years without  a problem, very well installed.

This is the slide open , this stops us putting gear in front of the return air grille and blocking the air while running.

This is the slide bent into place and closed. It sits up against the return air grille and allows for storage in front when not operating.

Two supply air outlets out the front and the other i have taken out the side and run up next to be bed. I have tried to make the duct short as possible to allow better airflow.

The latch on either side holds the front on and is easy to remove.
