Where's everyone dragging their Tvan for Easter ?/

Howdy !!  Just wondering what everyone's up to for Easter ??  We are taking the Tvan to Eldee Station, up near Broken Hill.  Hey put on an Easter 4wd family event each year, and having seen it on Your 4x4 and 4WD Tv, thought it might be fun !!  Anyone else heading there ??  Whatever you do, hope your Easter is magical.  Have fun, stay safe

We are heading up the Pacific Hwy to Ballina then working our way down through the ranges via Dorrigo, Ebor and the Waterfall way. So many times we have bored up the Pacific or New England Highways. This time we are going to take the time to look at the places inbetween.

Heading home after walking the Milford Track in NZ last week. Off to central Qld with the Tvan at the end of June.

Easter at Woodside Beach. Tonight at Omeo, then tomorrow to Tawonga for a few nights before back to Melbourne town. All tame driving and easy camping, but a relaxing ten day loop.

Been for a drive to Nhill and Back.
Left Thursday for the weekend.  Tvan on the Back.
Good Friday was a 10.00am. start, and a road and tracks trip to Big Billy Bore.
Saturday was Big Billy Bore Camping area out to the top of the S.A. Border track, near Scorpion Springs.  Travelling the correct direction (South) to Centre Road and turned right and out Centre track onto the bitumen and down to Bordertown. 
Used the Trailer deviation along the Border Track too.
Sunday was Bordertown to Nhill via McDonald Highway in the Little Desert.
Nice hot showers for everyone at the Nhill Caravan Park and tea at the Pub.
Rest overnight and Back home Monday at about 5.30p.m.
Learnt a bit about sand driving for sure. 
Dragging the Tvan through the desert is not really a cheap option either.

I'll bet the Dog, being left at home, was disssapppointed to see the truck being packed and then driven off.  I wonder, will the place be in one piece when you get back.

Well we just got home after 2 weeks of dragging our Tvan,

Adelaide to Ceduna, up googs and along the railway line to Ooldea then north to Maralinga, further north to Emu then west along Anne Beadell to almost Vokes Hill, little detour then down to Cook, south to Nullabor and Back home along the black top.

Great trip, did destroy the top shocker rubbers though. Made some replacement ones out of an old piece of conveyor belt I always carry.

Hi Peter,
How was Googs track and the A.B hwy? We are heading that way in Oct, but continuing to the WA coast then back across the Nullabor. We have 7 weeks.

Spent Easter in Canberra at the National Folk Festival after leaving Melb a few days earlier.  Now at Oberon heading North for four months.  Will end up at Lawn Hill and then wander back home.

Hi Mal, Googs was in pretty good nick. No problems at all, a few of the hills had been previously cut up a bit on the southern faces. We travelled south to north. AB was shocking heading east, we only went far enough to go to Totem 1 and 2. Heading west was way better.

Just got back from a week in Cape Arid NP.

Found a camp site a short stones throw from the ocean and settled in for 7 days of fishing and general relaxing.

Now getting ready for a trip up to the Coral Coast of WA in 10 weeks time.

Just spent 5 days at Carnarvan Gorge, probably the most varied and impressive I've seen. We'll worth the effort. Cheers
