FOR SALE:    1997 Track Trailer "Desert Eagle" – MC2 Suspension

Purchased from the original owner in October, 2007. Always garaged when not in use by current and previous owner.

Selling due to purchase of "Cracka's" wonderful Tvan (yep, Track Tragic....    )

Given its age, this Eagle is in EXCELLENT condition and would especially suit a fussy buyer, hence the various repairs, maintenance and modifications.   

The photos have been taken fairly recently since the modifications to canvas and overhaul of the suspension.  Obviously photos taken on camping trips and all foodstuffs, boxes etc have been removed and the camper comprehensively cleaned.

Nothing to do, just load her up and head off.....  ☺  This is a simple, robust and extremely capable camper and has been looked after and meticulously modified.  I doubt that you will find a better one than this....

I am willing to forward additional photos if required and put up the canvas for closer inspection for serious buyer.

EXTERIOR/CHASSIS

•   Build date November 1997
•   Fully Hot Dipped Galvanized Chassis
•   MC2 asymmetric suspension (same as latest model Tvans) recently removed sandblasted and repainted with POR15 chassis paint (this stuff is TOUGH and very chip resistant).
•   Fully water and dustproof locker system to front and sides including 4 x lower lockers
•   70 l water tank
•   Hand water pump at rear and inside tent.
•   3 Jerry can holders.
•   5 Stud solid axle, 16" Landcruiser rims with Pro Comp AT
•   265/75/16" tyres x 3, approx. 75% tread.
•   Spare wheel frame refinished with POR 15 paint (Jan 2012).
•   New drum brake pads and magnets fitted Aug 2012.
•   Rebuilt Koni shocks Aug 2012.
•   Wesco Carter 'Tiger Hitch', fully off-road with great articulation.
•   2 x 3.3kg Primus gas cylinders checked and in-date by Supagas.
•   NEW wheel bearings/seals Jan 2012 and checked, re-greased recently.
 
INTERIOR
 
•   Inner Spring Mattress in excellent condition
•   Aluminum Step Ladder for bed access
•   LED Strip lights to interior
•   Original "Tudor" Stainless Steel Stove with griller, fitted to internal 'kitchen' locker. 
•   Quick Release gas fittings, throughout.

ELECTRICAL

•   120 Ah Fullriver AGM battery with space and wiring for second/similar battery.
•   Rebuilt 12 volt electrical system which includes:
•   Switch Box with circuit breakers, Victron Energy battery monitoring system, fully labeled, spare circuit/breaker.
•   MPPT 10 amp solar controller
•   LED strip lights for interior tent
•   4 switchable Merit sockets, internal/external.
•   3 switchable Cig. Lighter sockets
•   170amp Anderson Plug to tow vehicle
•   Solar 'Anderson' Input plug
•   240-volt system, complete with external 240v input point and internal 240v GPO's with appropriate circuit breakers.
 

CANVAS

•   Original Australian Heavy duty canvas throughout in excellent condition, fully waterproof, with many modifications ($1200 worth...) including:
•   Zipped access hatch to Electrical/battery locker
•   Zipped lower floor vents with midge-proof fly screens
•   "Moon Roof" to main tent roof, to allow excellent ventilation.  Can close from inside and outside, includes midge-proof fly screens, zip/Velcro closures.
•   Strengthening repairs made to areas with 'pinch' holes to prevent further wear.
•   Awning to 3 sides, including several end walls, which allow additional under-canvas space or ability to close in ends of awnings.
•   Galvanized poles for ALL canvas, housed in timber box inside trailer tub (easily accessible)
•   Plenty of pegs and guy ropes included
•   Several 'shade-cloth' and Oztrail groundsheets included
