Thanks Craig,

That is useful information.  Sounds pretty easy to adapt....

If I buy metal stay puts for this task, I might just buy a few extras for other areas where they are exposed to the elements.... Preemptive strike perhaps....😋😋

Cheers,

Mark

Update:  Nylon stayputs 0.99c from Whitworth Marine.  SS Stayputs $6.00ea...... :o

All sorted, thanks to David..... ;) ;)

Got myself a brand new set, just have to purchase the stayputs and rivet them on.

I'm getting pretty good with th rivet gun, having a Tvan..... :) :)

"Bunnings could be your friend here!"

Where have I heard that before?

Have a look anyway, they could have them in where they have the hooks for trailers.
The ones you rivet on the sides to hold stretchy loops or the long rope around a cover.
Like on your dad's or your uncle's ute tub.
You don't have to have stainless ones on the inside.

Spent about 45mins in the local Bunnings store today.  No luck.....

Ordered them from Whitworths at 99c each, plus the $17 postage....  :o

Got some spares too at that price....

Worth a try, well done anyway.
Shouldn't be hard to fit them, good luck with it.
