Southco Compression Locks

Hi,
This topic has no doubt been discussed before, but I'm hopeless using the search feature.
I have an early MKIII, and have an issue with a latch not fully rotating on the RH locker door. Had to use some not-so-gentle persuasion to get it open.
Removed the lock, soaked it with Inox, but still not fully rotating when the handle is turned. The key operates the barrel lock just fine.
Imagine it is hard to get a direct replacement. Will phone Track during the week.
Any fixes?

I reckon that its worth a phone call to Track before you open your wallet. Although it was a few years ago, Track replaced all of the locks on my MkIII with the new design free of charge (they supplied them & I fitted them). I know that they did the same  thing for at least one other MkIII owner. The locks fitted originally were very prone to dust ingress & had a habit of clogging.

Hi,
I have a 2000 Tvan that needs new compression latches. Have called/emailed Tracktrailer but no help there.
Not 100% sure of size to get. The ovesco ones also don't have the twisty handle  that mine do.

Think the wing head one may fit. Will investigate further

From memory the the Mk1 and 2 models had key locks and then push the knob to open. If you get the wing head one in the picture above you will lose the ability to lock it.

You might want to have a look at one like this if you want to be able to lock it https://www.ovesco.com.au/products/locks-and-latches/compression-latches/e3-compression-latches/e3-vise-action-compression-latch-2/ but I know some of the early Mk3;s cam with that type of lock but Track moved away from it as it got a lot of dust in them that caused issues with the lock.

The first ones had a larger lockable central latch, and then two of these smaller compression latches each side that weren't lockable, that ensured dust seal I'm thinking.
It's all about whether the smaller ones are the right thickness for the door and then the actual lever is the right length. Think I'll have to take on off to see.
