Kitchen changes on old style kitchen

Hi

Thought i would show you the changes i have made to suit my camping trips better. First i got rid of the Swift stove. The tap has moved and the outside door swings down now. An extra table on the side of the van and a storage area instead of the sink.These changes wont appeal to all but you might get some ideas.

I like the way you think outside the square!  Certainly solves the issues with the underperforming stoves on the Mark 2 kitchens.

That big fold down thing above the kitchen -  is that a flat screen TV??

If my memory serves, that's a pantry storage area, intrudes slightly into the interior of the Tvan.

Did you reverse the hinge on the hatch?

I reckon he's pulled the hatch off the wall, rotated it, then refitted it.

Yes i removed it , turned it around and resealed it.

I couldn't have it swing up with the fold down table above.

Yeah, I cheated, I remembered a Post on the forum where someone created a pantry in the wall of a Tvan.
It also makes sense to rotate and refit the locker door/hatch as you have explained also.
Also wondering if you use the table over the top when the kitchen is slid out?
Or is it just a convenience for when you don't want/need to cook?
It would be a little higher than the top of the kitchen slide when in use.
They say the same thing about Land Rovers.
No two are the same, Owners always want to add their own "improvements" to the Tvan.

I just use the fold down at night to hold drinks and gadgets after the kitchen is stowed. When the table is down and the kitchen open you can still cook but it feels like it is in your way.
