Thanks for sharing all the pics ! do you mind sharing the dimensions of your battery box and what size/capacity battery you planned to put in there ? Like many others here I have the older mk2 with what I'd call pretty primitive electrics. I'm keen to move the battery (and all its weight) to the rear and then rebuild the switch panel.

The battery's are 120ah fullriver and the box size is in the pictures below.the boxes where a tight fit and one was slightly smaller than the other so it would be advisable to measure each side before making the boxes and I had ot remove the angle brace and cut and bend the wheel arch and mud flap

Off topic slightly but can you send me a photo of the rear water pump set up
I'm a bit confused regarding where the rear pumps water to, the tank outlet has a tee one end goes to the kitchen pump and the other end to a pump at the rear near the hand pump but I don't know where the discharge pipe goes to.
Same as the pump wiring, does it run off the Merit plug circuits?

Thanks Jmar1, thats perfect. Whats the grey goup you've used to seal the boxes in ? A Sika product ?

It is Bostic  Seal and flex. Polyurethane product.  It is an adhesive and a silicone . I think that Sika would have a similar product..It is probably cheaper than Sika.I have been using it for 15 years and never had it fail .. It is good stuff  I pay about $10 for a 600ml sausage hope this helps..

Started relocating the battery to the rear.
Cut the hole through the floor and made a cardboard template of a battery box.
It will house the 100AH Lithium battery, battery shunt, Midi fuses and the low voltage battery isolator.
It will be made from 1.2mm thick Zincanneal and will be fully welded.
It will have a flange along the top edge and will adhesive/sealant glued and pop riveted into position.

Worse that's an awesome job, I'm so frustrated with track now as I asked when we got our Scout built if we could have the manager 30 instead of the projecta gear & they said it couldn't be done as there wasn't enough room, well you have proved them wrong
