Hi all,
Thanks for your generally supportive posts on Tvan. However, after talking to TT staff at the recent Border Show on defects, reliability etc. and pricing the Tvan ($80k and counting), I placed a deposit on a Mountain Trail EDX. I know, I know, it has a canvas roof. But after touring the local factory in Albury, I became a convert. Time will tell whether I have made the right decision.

First of all we love our Tvan
Think it's great and do recommend it too others

That said there are a few things you need to know
Can be hard to get things fixed with track trailer
As really they do not have great representation in other states when you need parts or getting someone who really understands the camper
Again ! We love ❤️ it !
About to replace a glass window here in adelaide
It was recommended to get camper to Victoria to track trailer
One guy in WA had to do the same !
I do now have a guy in adelaide that will do the lot !
Even a specialist in knowing how to set up there suspension
I ask Paul at TT if I could get a buffer tank to finish off the hot water system in our camper !
Said they have a new design and can get that part anymore !
Don't get me wrong!
TT are very helpful .
But we are talking about getting things done after the sale
Which for many and myself is as important as the day you take it home !
But as far as taking the camper anywhere it one of the best out of all the campers I have had !
Not cheap !
But ! If you live in a state where your on your own and no real agent it can be not a lot of fun if you need them !
But then the Tvan forum is one of the greatest parts of the camper
You will source so much information and help to get you out of trouble !
If not here on the Facebook site !
You will be in good hands
The other phenomenal thing is it seems Tvan owners are great people stopping and chatting to other Tvan owners when ever they see them !
Enjoy ! Just look for  People that you might need for parts / service, you will be fine

Hey Tudor

Who is the person in ADELAIDE that can do the suspension alignment etc? ApparentlyDave Bensons techs haven't had the training on that yet and they themselves recommend taking the Tvan to Track HQ in Melbourne for servicing at this stage, which can be difficult

Complete alignment at regency park
Birralee road
Really great guys ! John ? I think is his name , the owner
Old fashion service mate
I gave him a box of beer for helping me out fast
So if you say the guy with the Tvan and box of beer put me on to you !
He might remember

The bit that gives me the craps is Dave benson send there vans there so I am told

I did say to TT there should be a list of people in each state were we can go  !

We haven't ever been disappointed with TT...we had a look around their new HQ and the factory a while ago.
From our perspective (both of us being able to see mechanical and construction aspects of the factory and product)..we are very impressed. We both also understand the R & D needed to keep improving their product.
Some people can get OCD about a unsealed rivet...really peoples..worse happens in a fancy smanshy BA caravan worth 3 times the price.

We have found TT to be very helpful. Yes..they aren't always the quickest with enquiries. However an email, has always produced quicker results. Things done by them have always been good, with them going above our expectations.
We would never consider any other vehicle. we have matchbox on wheels (caravan) at home..we would never consider a different caravan (200k plus) or "off road" camper  as it still cannot do what a TVan does.

Your coffin is the only place you can't take your TVan and the hearse doesn't have a towbar!

The issue I have with Lemon Caravan group is there is no disclosure of why a manufacturer has been added to the list and is done purely at the discretion of the administrator, who has a personal vendetta against one manufacturer in particular. While there have been some issues with Track products over the years, I'm not aware of anything that would warrant them being added to a lemon list and for the most part I think they provide reasonable, post sales, service and support. Unlike some of the other major manufactures Track does not run it's own, controlled, forum, where it could censer bad press. Rather all the Track related forums and groups are run independant of Track, so the public get the warts and all version.
I also looked into the Lemon group and was concerned about their membership criteria. They appear to specifically preclude manufacturers who have no right of reply. Decided the group was a magnet for wingers and did not offer a balanced view. Haven't been back.

Our Tvan has exceeded expectations in terms of reliability and durability. Happy to recommend the Tvan and Track Trailer products in general.

G'day,
When we purchased our MKll new we definitely got the "The Late Friday Arvo Job". We ended up with two full pages of manufacturing defects and even parts missing.

HOWEVER......at no time did Track Trailer try to make up excuses or avoid us. In fact it was the opposite, they replaced and supplied all new parts no questions asked. Some of these were quite major items i.e. complete new suspension and new rear tent. Not a repair job, a complete replacement.

Every issue was resolved, from minor ones to major ones and the van has been trouble free ever since.

My philosophy is "It's not the actual problem, it's the way that the problem is resolved" and that's what you get with TT, good after sales service :)

We love our TVAN and at this stage have not seen anything that would suit us better. It has taken my family and I to the most spectacular places and given us memories to last a lifetime.

Cheers Nige :)
