Gryphen , I have a Thule awning removed from a topaz in V.G.C in you are interested I also fitted a Engle 40 lt fridge freezer it will fit in the slide mm perfect if you remove the protective feet from the bottom of the fridge cheers

Added a pole carrier to my and the Bro's Topaz over the weekend, buying the parts on eBay and sourcing the 150mm PVC pipe separately was considerably cheaper than getting a pre-made one.

Spent Saturday, disassembling my Giant(tm) Solar Panels from http://www.aussiebatteries.com.au I purchased them for my previous camper trailer, and decided now to install them to the roof, they are 3 panels making a grand total of 195w.

I didn't much appreciate the MPPT Solar Charge Controller so purchased a new one from Jaycar



Battery world provided the polycarbonate mounts and after pulling it all apart, making one large panel by bolting them together, we mounted the panels to the brackets and then fixed them to the roof after pre-soling the surface.

Hardest part (aside from disassembly) was chasing the cable through to the pillar to the fridge side of the door, mounting the MPPT and connecting the wiring to the main battery line behind the light switches.

Once it was all done it was generating almost 10A with it sitting under the trees, lol.



Next part is to send it off the Mandurah Caravan Repair Centre for some work, which involves fitting of a wind out awning on the front Door side), a sail runner on the back (to mount the old awning for shade), a gas line from the bottles to a quick release in front of the external kitchen, some new LED lights outside over the kitchen, and the supply of two extra legs and fitting of the mounts to the front of the van.

Added bench tops made of 'cutting board' type material 😀 no cuts and scratches and works a treat.

Turned the passenger side blind around so that it could be put up and down without getting the fan in the way

No sorry to big, but it fits right next to the doorway. Standard size table fits nicely. Only had to relocate the reflector lower.

Yes that's it, awesome aren't they. Ours is not the same table though but same size.

Fitted a fuse box in the Topaz wardrobe so i can run my GPS tracker and wifi router from there, rather than going into the battery compartment each time.

Another thing on the weekend list is to add a door net to keep the flies out as we go in and out of the van - we will use magnetic hooks and a simple net curtain to do this

With regards to flies and mozzies, every van should have a couple of these, they are great !

Okay fitted a scupper vent to the driver side storage locker, its where I store my generator and so there is always a smell of residual fuel, left the scupper open over night and already the smell is diminished...
