Mate with Supa wing awning

This my mate that I spent way too much time mounting a squared off 2.1m Supa peg Supa wing awning. Any questions feel free to ask

I went with the Supa wing as it gives more coverage than the fox wing that track offer. I did not like how track mounted the fox wing off a roof rack mounted to the top of the grand  evo as once set up it is a long way off the ground. This is is still 2.4m from the ground but poles droop down far enough to make setting up doable with a little stool. The brackets are made from 3mm alloy and are glued and riveted to the roof . Each bracket had to be bent differently as the roof has a curve. Have used the awning many times, even stood up to 40kph wind that roared all night with no signs of damage to the fibre glass. Takes about 5 to 10 mins to set up and is best done with 2 people but I have done it a few time solo

Are there any other ways people are adding awnings? Struts similar to Drifta or what Patriot used to do? I think that an awning is essential to make the trailer work.

I have a mate trailer that was once the James B model but now has the James B roof top removed and a custom side fold soft floor camper tent mounted (all Aust made).
But getting back to the awning issue what i did (and if i ever work out how to shrink photos i will post one) was to mount a foxwing on the passenger side of the roof racks supporting the James B.
the foxwing was on steel RHS approx 400mm high with an inner RHS about the same height sliding inside with the ability to be locked off at any height.
During transit the foxwing would sit low on the racks
On setup put James B up first the raise foxwing up  with rear section sitting below upper fibreglass (so rain runs off).
A small tarp on the passenger side gap  if rain was about made it and entry water free.
This method of securing the Foxwing kept 26kg off very a very thin fibreglass roof of the JB
26Kg and 2m long mixed with corrigations means damage to roof top tent

That's the sort of thing I was thinking of - love to see a photo if you can. Would be a simple thing for Track to add as an option making the Mate a more attractive trailer for those less handy.
