We are travelling on Googs Track next week north to south, this would work better for us, but most info seems to encourage
people to do south to north.  We are in a Ford Ranger with a Mark 5 Tvan.  What are the negatives with North to South?

We have travelled Googs in both directions, North to South was marginally easier. The corrugations on the downhill were  better N to S. But toss a coin really.

At this time of the year, it will have had very little recent traffic  and the sand will be soft as there has been no rain for 8 weeks.
The prevailing winds are from the south and you'll find there are lips on many of the dunes that you will need to break if heading from the north.  No problems if heading from the south apart from the usual need to run very low tyre pressures to make life easy

We did north to south years ago. Worked well for us then! I'd rather not be looking into the sun all day too!
