Warburton, Birdsville inside tracks
« on: June 26, 2018, 06:48:00 PM »
Hey guys, heading out to the BRB then into the Simmo for a week or so. Plan on heading down the Knolls track, across the Rig Road past the lone gum. Then back around the Rig road up to the WAA line and back east to Knolls track then south down the Rig road again to the Warburton Track to the Warburton crossing then I want to head back up the old Birdsville Inside Track back up to Birdsville.

Can anybody advise if the Warburton and old Birdsville Inside tracks are open? Cheers

Cheers mate, 3weeks to dry out - should be sweet. If not suspect we'll just have to spend a few more nights in the Simpson

Been more rain up there - walkers crossing track and many around Innamincka still closed due to rain about a weeks ago.
IMO there's no way the Inside track will be open and perhaps only a small chance Warburton Crossing will be open in a couple of weeks.

Looks like we might head right across eventually and have a dip at Dalhousie springs (I’m sure the bride will approve) then up to Mount Dare and back across the Plenty

No permit required for Old Andado Track (Sounds so much better than Binns Track!).  Its a nice drive on the west side of the Simpson.  Tends to get bulldust
