Hi all, has anyone recently taken their Topaz over to Fraser Island? If so what vehicle were you towing the van with?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Mark

Mark,

We went to Fraser in the Sept school holidays. Used the ferry from Inskip Point.

No problems if you follow the tides, ie 3hrs either side of low tide and you can easily drive along the beaches. It would be very hard in the dry sand at or near high tide and I wouldnt travel then.

Inland tracks are a bit more difficult as there arent many spots to pull over if you meet a traveller coming the other way.

We have a V6 hilux so no problems towing.

Cheers

Luke

We are thinking of going to the island in the second half of this year, really looking forward to the trip.

Cheers
