I have been told the OffRoad magnets have a stronger magnet than the On Road magnets , is that true ?
I thought it was just the single slot rather than the + slot for the road version.

Not really any stronger as such, just more durable that's all.

Each magnet whether on road or off road will draw 2 to 3 amps depending on brand.

The idea of the off road magnet with the single, side dedicated slot is that it has a polymer bush where the slot is.

This increases longevity as it is designed to absorb the chatter under brakes mainly on corrugations where as the on road magnet having the alloy centre will chew out very quickly in the same instances.

They are quite a bit more expensive than on road magnets especially for the know name brands.
