Gas heater in Topaz. Economical or...
« on: June 20, 2019, 07:53:11 PM »
Is been a bit nippy lately - well, freezing really - and we've finally gotten around to using the gas heater in our Topaz. Very effective it is. Keeps us very toasty warm.

I am wondering though, is this an economical comfort or will our indulgence have us ripping through our gas supply at a heavy rate?

Anyone have enough experience to comment?

Cheers,
Jeff

Hi, Jeff
Yes, it gets the van toasty warm, and very quickly. I’ve never noticed excessive gas usage but, with three gas bottles on board, I’ve never been overly focused on it.  Once warm, I tend to turn the thermostat down a little.
Indulge yourself :)

Thanks pi...
Yes, so far, now that we are getting into it, this has been our experience too. We also have three bottles  and feel comfortable about keeping comfortable.

Jeff
