Has anybody replaced the waeco cr80 fridge with new model dometic crx80 with electronic themostat on the topaz?
If so wondering what the power consumption is like?
They are suggesting around 2 amps per hr.

I can't help with that particular model but it all depends on the temperature you set it at. As a fridge, most will draw around 2 amps/hr or even a bit less. It's based on power draw of around 4 amps when running, assuming it runs for half the time.

if it's in freezer mode, it will draw more and I don't think there's a lot of difference between the better models.

We have a CRX80 in our newly acquired, preloved, topaz. I have just finished installing additional cooling fans behind the fridge to help dissipate the heat from the condenser. Ambient temp plays a HUGE part in how much power your fridge will draw, and also the amount of times it is opened, as being an upright fridge the cold "falls out" and has to be replaced over again.
Not trying to tell you how to suck eggs, just pointing out a couple of issues affecting power consumption.
