Topaz items wanted
« on: July 17, 2019, 02:27:59 PM »
This is a long-shot but here it is....We purchased a second-hand Topaz recently and after its first short trip, we identified a few internal items that we would like to add to the current configuration of our van.
It came with the correct table system but the Topaz tabletop was missing. We have contacted Tracktrailer but as they are no longer making the previous models, these items are not readily or affordably available as have to be manufactured as one-off items.
We are also interested in sourcing the easy-lift roof-raising bar.
Not sure if anyone has manufactured bolsters to go around the bed but would be interested in any tips/ideas for this as well.
We are based in Melbourne.

Might help yourself a bit more if you include the year of Manufacture of your Topaz in your Post.
Also whether the bed is E-W or N-S (across or along) the van.

Our Topaz had the table and the swing arm mount missing as well. I made a new swing arm from 50 x 50 aluminium tube and drilled a holes to take a split 25mm pipe for the pivot pins. A new table top was made from 3.2mm aluminium plate and had it powder coated. It’s lightweight and strong.
We kept the table top small because we didn’t want it to take up too much space. Made ours 600x400mm and it’s big enough for two to eat at. Stays over the bed at night (N/S bed configuration.
Furiously working on our bucket list before time and money runs out.

Thanks for the tips re the table top. We are progressing with an $89 tabletop ( apparently Jayco tabletops that we’re excess stock)that we sourced from Carac and have sat in the van going through the range of movements with the table adjustment. Looking to work well.
It’s a late 2012 Topaz with an E/W bed.

It might pay to check with TRACK re the "the easy-lift roof-raising bar" as our Topaz is an 2011 and were told that the roof was not strong enough to fit them.
