Hey everyone

I have a mk3 murranji and haven't had many issues with the tvan but on my last trip i noticed my victron battery monitor was not. decreasing %, sat at 100% for
whole trip (7 days).

Got home and checked the monitor and it was 85% so i plugged it into 240v charger and i went back a few days later and it was sitting at 91.5%. Really weird. So i left it charging for another couple of weeks and the battery monitor showed 92%. Cant get it past 92%. Should i look at resetting tje monitor so it can be at 100% or am i missing something important?

Thx.

Hi AsH_

Might be worth having a read through this thread to see if it covers anything useful for you.

Are you running a fridge ? If so it should be decreasing by around 5-6% overnight. If not, something is wrong.

Nothing is in the tvan.

I keep my fridges in my house when im not travelling.

I'll reset the victron. Because my projecta charger says that the batteries are full

Sounds very similar to the problem i had up until this weekend.  We've had our MKIII Murranji for a bit over a year. All works fine but the Victron battery monitor was always showing a SOC of 100%, even after considerable use of the batteries.  Strangely the SOC went down when we charged them up with the 240v charger.

I found in another thread that some MKIII Murranji vans had the BMS shunt incorrectly wired in.  The Load wire was connected to the Battery side of the Shunt and the battery cables were connected to the Load terminal on the Shunt.  I switched the wires around and it's all good now.

The shunt is located in the right hand battery box.  I used this YouTube video to help me identify the correct terminal on the shunt:

Hope this helps.
