We are investigating fitting a shower pod to our 2016 Series 2 Topaz. We are weighing up the benefits and trying to balance this against the cost.
Keen to hear from any other Topaz owners who have retro fitted the shower pod on their experience, any issues and how satisfied.

After getting the quote from Track and considering the advantages/ cost we have decided not to proceed. The quote from Track was $7250. When the option was originally announced the cost was $5000.
Track explained that since the Topaz is no longer in production the pod has to be individually made and hence the cost. Let's hope that Track have retained a stock of spare parts for the Topaz and that parts do not have to be individually manufactured.
Additionally the pod weighs 50 kg and we are already on the 2200 limit.

We had a quote from Track, recently, for the fitting of a shower pod, to our Topaz 2, for $8500. Obviously they don't want the job, and won't get it from me. $8500 will buy a LOT of fuel and or a LOT of BEER.  :D

Agree totally. This indicates to me that they don't want to do this work. Maybe their focus has moved onto the T4. I cannot believe your quote.

Have you looked at fitting the Drifta Shower Ensuite. It is very neat and less than 1/10th you prices quoted! https://www.drifta.com.au/product/drifta-shower-ensuite/.

I did a DIY shower / toilet pod for my Topaz based camper. Low cost and simple.

Jenny, I just had it folded up out of aluminium sheet and then powder coated. Hinge made from stainless angle and bolted through back wall. Simple and strong.

We had a shower pod retro fitted and its brilliant, ours was apparently the first one done back in 2017
