Welcome to the Track Trailer Forum

Here are some basic rules to guide your postings and activities on this forum, so everyone enjoys it.

The following forum rules and keys to ensuring appropriate conduct may be amended or added to from time to time. It is the responsibility of members to ensure they revisit these frequently to ensure adherence with the policies of this forum.

We require all posts to be positive, constructive, and on topic. We may delete individual posts that could ruin a good topic thread.

We reserve the right to remove any topics we deem inappropriate or disruptive to our community. Please note that, from time to time, topics may be removed for being inappropriate even though your individual post in that topic may have been perfectly fine. Please do not feel this reflects badly on you.

Any form of commercial advertising is not permitted and members may only sell items of a personal nature on this forum with all items listed for sale posted in the For Sale and Wanted section of the forum. Please provide an expiry date or advise when an item has been sold or purchased in the For Sale or Wanted forum, so the moderator can delete any old posts.

If you have a business or work in a particular industry and are giving advise, it is appropriate to declare that interest so that members can access for themselves the value of your information and judge for themselves if it is pointing them to a product or service you provide or are involved with. Professional advise is always appreciated, but biased information is not. To declare your interest please put it in your signature, as per the guidelines below.

There is a forum for general non camper trailer discussions - non camper trailer discussions are welcome but please conduct these "Around the campfire". Please keep all posts and replies positive and polite. We do not censor opinions or ideas on the forums but we do take action against posts and/or topics that could cause unrest in our community beyond a civil and polite disagreement.

You must never personally attack other members either in public forums or via private messages.

Please do not use profanity in your posts as it is unprofessional and may be deemed offensive by others. We may have word filters in place for some profane words or terms and circumventing word filters will result in moderator or administrator intervention of a disciplinary nature.

We reserve the right to ban any member who violates our guidelines or disrupts our community. We will be fair and provide a warning regarding violations in most cases.

If you have an issue concerning the conduct of other members, please address this through a private message to a moderator or administrator. All moderators and administrators are highlighted in the active members list. We take serious complaints to heart and will do our best to address them.

Keys to ensuring appropriate conduct

Avoid the use of profanity.

Do not use racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any communication that could be deemed by other members as discriminatory or offensive.

Do not post anything that may offend or otherwise hurt another member or that may be inflammatory in nature to any individual, group or entity.

Spamming is not permitted; please keep all your posts as constructive as possible.

Pornography, or any content or links to content that may be considered illegal or immoral is not to be posted on the forums.

Posts may be deleted for any reason the forum administrators or moderators deem reasonable.

Members may not argue a moderators decision publicly. Any and all complaints directed at a moderator must first address the moderator in question via Personal Message. If the problem can not be resolved, then the moderator and user must send their positions to the forum administrator. The forum administrator will make changes and or rule required to bring about a resolution and the administrators decision will be final.

Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit or offensive.

Blatant advertising on this forum is frowned upon and should be discouraged. Offending messages will be removed and the offenders may banned.

However, we do not mind if you:

...put the Web address of your business in your signature file
...put your Web address in your profile settings
...advertise your Web site only if it helps answer a post

Remember to post in the correct forum. Take your time to look at other topics and see where your topic should go. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it will be moved by a moderator.

If a topic is recognised as being posted in the wrong forum, or if the post is a violation of our guidelines then please contact a moderator via Personal Message. Any person/s who attempt to present themselves as a Moderator by posting negatively to a member's topic (which has been posted in error and requires moving to another forum) will be sent a PM warning.

Any impersonation of a user from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning.

If you have a question about where your topic went, please PM a Moderator or Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was moved or removed.
