Dzus studs on the Eagle

Hi,

Has anyone managed to find a supplier for I believe the code is Dzus D4-AJ5-100ss for the stainless or D4-AJ5-100 for the zinc plated used on the locker system of the Eagle. They are slot head Dzus 6.4mm (.252") fittings with a 25.40mm (1.00") grip, undercut 17.78mm (.252")

I have contacted the USA supplier who has put me onto a couple of Australian suppliers but so far no luck. Seems most carry the short length versions.

The slots of two have become a little worn after owning it for 30 years. I may have to remove the two & weld the slot, then hacksaw a new slot. Easy to remove as they have a nylon retaining washer holding them in.

After searching on & off for two days & sending emails, I have found the Dzus D4-AJ5-100 studs at RGA Fasteners, 159 – 163 Victoria Road, Marrickville, NSW, 2204. They are $6 each with a lead time of 3 to 4 weeks as they need to be shipped in from overseas. Hope that helps anyone who is also looking for replacements.

Here are the correct parts details to replace the Dzus fittings, nylon retaining washer & grommet.

I think someone in another post replaced them with an alternative option, but despite their 'quirkiness' I actually like the dzus items as they don't really reveal a locker system to the opportunistic thief.

You might be interested, that I have some 'plans' for my Eagle.... remove the tent section and put a rooftop tent on with 270 awning for solo travel... I just find the tent section a little awkward when on my own...
