Ok kids, can anyone give me some clues on the following please....

1. To access the water heater, I just drill out the pop rivets in the cover panel?

2. Is the release/drain valve in the heater compartment? It's certainly not visible/accessible anywhere else!

3. Where are the water pumps located?

My questions might seem "unusual" to some of you but until a few weeks ago I had never had reason to deal with the water heater etc, the Topaz has done over 95k since new with no equipment issues.
In the last few weeks the 240v side of the heater has stopped working so I'm taking the opportunity to get it sorted plus a bit of maintenance (the gas still heats well)
Oh yeah, the Waeco fridge also died 6 weeks back so I'm replacing that and modifying/improving the airflow for the new Bushman fridge.

Let the s$@tstorm commence 😁

Looking forward to your sage advice etc

Hi Fantum,
I think you will find the pumps behind a panel where the porta potti is stored.
There should be 2 screws to remove this panel from memory.
This may also give some access to the water heater.

Hi Fantum, are you sure that it's a fault with the HWS.  I'm not sure about the earlier model Topaz, but my 2015 Topaz2 has a power board hidden with all the electrics near the battery and the 240V for the HWS plugs into that. The 240V charger and 240V power outlets also plug into that powerboard.  I have heard of the plugs coming loose as they connect into the powerboard.  I would check that before I start trying to access the HWS.
Formerly 2002 TVAN, now a 2015 Topaz Savannah and 2014 Isuzu MU-X LST. Now towing with a 2019 Toyota LC200 GXL.

Yup, checked the power board and all was ok there. Nothing could come loose as all the plugs appeared to be stuck in place with some sort of sealant 😵💫
Definitely an issue in the hws itself.

G'day Rick, found and sorted the pumps etc, just a partially clogged filter.
