Recently had a roll over of the van and I'm amazed about how strong the van was. Ended up on its roof however all the internal drawers stayed shut, water tanks didn't leak, fridge kept running and batteries kept charging. Now waiting for insurance assessment to see what happens next. (PS no-one hurt)

wow, now you had better tell us the story, good to hear no one hurt but the scratches won't buff out on the rig.

Long story short: the LH rear wheel on the MUX sheared off the axle bolts as we were driving. The wheel went one way, the 4wd and van went another. The van must have flipped over, which forced the car on its side and we slid to a stop on the other side of the road. Airbags didn't go off - in some ways it was a slide on the road. it was all over in seconds, though admittedly it felt like an eternity. Lucky no vehicles were coming the other way - it was outside Leinster in WA so road trains aplenty. And as a side note, the help we received from the truckies and local Leinster community was overwhelming.

Phew, well done to come through as well as you did.
Seems it is often the LH rear wheel that has studs come loose, maybe that was a factor.
thanks for the followup.

Holy Cow, I have just come across this, that must have made some indelible memories. I'm not surprised at the responses you received from the locals and truckies, outback people in general and West Australians in particular are a very friendly bunch. Did you take the opportunity to make any brake adjustments required and tyre pressure checks on the spare wheels while they were so easy to get at? All joking aside, I am very pleased to hear that there were no injuries in what was a serious accident. How did the insurance work out, and over what time frame?
