What's the general consensus on adjusting the kitchen slides to give the kitchen a nose up attitude when extended. We always seam to have ours pointing down even when we get the van good and level.

I would like to mod mine to come all the way out!

We like to park our Tvan with the kitchen side higher - then if it rains, the water won't drain near the front door.   And it also keeps the kitchen flat!
It might be hard to modify the slide mounts - from memory they sit on the plywood floor .
But you might have some success if you put spacers between the the kitchen and the front of the slide.  Provided it still clears the top of the hatch!

Shaker, I didn't realise the Mark 2 kitchens had that problem.  But I've now modified a couple of the Mark 1 kitchens by fitting 864mm long 227kg slides - the last set I bought from EBay - from Dunn and Watson.

We have the same problem in our Mk2 ie the kitchen sags and fix it by the same method as Phill.
I looked at repositioning the slides but that would be a major fix, much easier to level it up slightly higher on the left side.
We seemed to have been lucky with the other problem of the kitchen slide not extending all the way out.  The vintage of our Tvan is 2008 and maybe the problem was fixed by then.

It's fairly easy to do. You need to remove the kitchen and slides and redrill the rear slide mounting holes on the angle aluminium that attaches them to the floor to make the slides level. Just make sure you don't go too far or you will have the opposite problem where things roll off the back corners of the kitchen and get stuck inside the locker, preventing the kitchen from being closed.

Thanks for the reply. Might do the mod with a minimal increase in tilt jut to offset the natural sag of the kitchen and sink when extended.

I set my Tvan up with the kitchen and fridge out and got it level with chocks. Then it repacked it all without moving the Tvan. Now with it sitting an an angle leaning to the drivers side, I put stick on bubble levels on it. ( one each side at the back so my assistant can see then while I'm reversing.)

When setting up, when the bubbles are level I stop, even though the Tvan is currently leaning to the driver side. When the fridge and kitchen are out... Bingo the Tvan is  level.

I have also gone down the path of adjusting the slides but I must agree with Phil_g when parking to allow water to shed away from the annex/kitchen side. The best fix though I have found is to take the telescopic pole which protects the driver's side hatch and prop it under the the unit beside the sink. Takes some of the pressure off the slides and firms the kitchen up. If you do decide to try this though, plug the ends of the tube to prevent dirt being forced in to it.
