Hi Darren,
I would like to get a wrightoff van that I can rebuild as a new one is out of reach at this time.
How did you go about searching to locate where they are being sold off.
Thank You

they are hard to find damaged and dont come up very often.

last one i saw was on ebay and fetched far to much IMO, you would need to be able to make most the parts yourself.
mine all finished and done owes me about $24,000 but is built the way i want it.

Hi Darren,
Thank You for the reply.

Hi Darren,

Could you tell me how you removed the side walls, did you remove the aluminium skin then drill each rivet or did you grind / cut the backs off the rivets.
I'll post some photos from my rebuild shortly.

i peeled the aluminum off first, this is the only way to do it as there are screws behind it that need to be removed.
its not an easy job.  make sure you dont damage the ply too much as you will need it for a template to make the new wall.

Thanks Darren,

I spent several hours yesterday removing the passenger side outer skin, ended up using an electric saw with aluminium blade in it, the blade depth was set to only cut the aluminium skin, it wasn't perfect as this panel was bent and buckled.

I will attempt the drivers side today this side is mostly flat except for one crease, the saw should make easy work of this panel.

I like your plywood rear deck platform.

Why wood instead of getting an extra alloy piece folded up like others do? What kind of finish did you put on it? Non-slip?

Any chance of a photo of it installed?  ;D
