I see Track has released an upgrade kit to replace the Lowboy hand pump taps with a whale one.

Has anyone bought and installed one?

Yes, fitted one to our Mk5. Great upgrade. Early days so don't know what the longevity will be however it is so much better in operation. In fact when operating from the electric pump the flow volume is so high we find we need to momentarily lift the lever when filling a cup for example otherwise you can get a quick shirt wash. So far so good!

Have installed a set in my TVan. They work quite well. Certainly much better than the old worn out and leaking pumps that I had.

Did have some trouble when I first shortcut the installation and left the old black pipes to attach to the pumps. The new kit comes with wire reinforced pipes. The new pipes are much more rigid and better able to withstand the negative pressure required to draw the water from the tank.

With the new pipes and pumps installed, all works well fits well and the installation is not difficult at all.

Installing new Zebra pump ,but finding problems priming .Will pump until lifted into position which means disconnecting hoses and letting water out and air into the system  .Could my non return valve be faulty.  No instructions included in package  Tvan 2008 mk 3 ?

I didn't have any issues with priming. Suggest you call TT and ask

Finally succeeded this morning on third attempt..Did not want to pickup/prime
I am convinced non return valve either faulty or not efficient as does not allow pump to draw
until very vigorous pumping finally lets water through /

Has anyone had difficulty fitting the cover plate? The screw holes don't align- the awning switch and merit are too close

I can't work out how to make it fit - the only orientation in our Mk5 leaves the spout back from the edge so you can't get anything under it. All the other orientations result in the base of the pump hitting the electric pump.

We have a 2017 Mk5. Unless TT have changed the adapter plate I am at a loss here. Mine fitted ok however having said that I didn't like the way the water outlet still stood proud of the outside of the Tvan when turned in as far as it would go so I changed the mounting orientation slightly by inserting new nutserts so that the pump outlet when turned in is flush with the Tvan outside wall (i e not protruding like the factory has it).
Fits and works fine.I will see if I can work out how to post a photo on here later today.
Forgot to mention. If memory serves me correct, the pump kit came with all the hoses to fit all models and I think I had to remove one of the hoses so it would connect up with my Mk5 plumbing.
Cheers

Thanks @hulbyw. I'm not sure we tried that orientation as I didn't realise the holes in the plate were "square".
