We're off to the Kimberley region next year including a number of days camping and exploring the Bungle Bungle National Park.  We see that sites can be booked online but there is very little information regarding the individual campsites (all 80+ of them).

Looking for guidance on the better campsites at the Bungle Bungles. Just looking for a site with shade (if that is possible) and a great outlook that will accommodate our Prado and Tvan with annex.

There are 2 campgrounds - one for generators closer to the' beehives' (in the south),& a quiet area closer to the gorges (in the north). We stayed in the quite area last June.We were in full sun from dawn to dark & there were mosquitoes all day ( & a loud mouth South African most of the night night). We spoke to some campers who were in the other area  & they said there were no mosquitoes & no one was using a generator. There were no views from our camp area unless you climbed a small hill to get sunset views.
When we were there the camp grounds were only about one third full.I guess we could have picked out a site with shade & gone back to the visitors centre & asked for a changePeople were arriving without pre-booking,but I think they are trying to go to on-line booking.
