Quick Set Up Awning for TVAN Mark 11 and 111

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the interest in the bracket sets ... we are running short on bits and pieces at the moment, and are heading over to Tassie with the Tvan for a couple of weeks on the 16th Feb ... when we return we will be getting back into manufacturing some more sets, and will let you all know how it's going, and when it's all done.  We are rapt with the interest in our product, and are glad that everyone who has got a set from us is happy with it.  It certainly makes life easier, when setting up the Tvan !!

If anyone is going along to the SEQ TVan Get Together this weekend, and interested in seeing Baron's brackets. My TVan is a MKII and we have it on with a ARB Awning.

The system works well and wouldn't be without it.

I am also interested in a set to fit mk111 with front box. What is the cost and when do you expect to be able to deliver. I want to also be able to take off quickly and attach to car , from previous comments is the a realities simple job?

After spending yesterday struggling with the sail I'm pretty keen on a set of these brackets for my MkIII with no front box.

Are they still for sale? Also do the awnings need to be 2.5m from Tvan out or 2.5m in length (parallel with the Tvan?). I've seen people say they have 2.5x3.0m but I'm confused to which way they are going

G'day Connie/Baron. I too would like a set of brackets. For a MkII. We were thinking of getting an awning for car, and as it seems that you can move from one to the other this is the best of both worlds!  My only worry when i originally saw the post, and indeed the same for the car, was whether it would be ripped off in the bush (like on Hay River of Anne Beadell), but all seem to be happy that this is not an issue, so, can i please have a set of Brackets. I will send a PM with my details.

Hi Felix,
The 2.5m is along the length of the TVAN.
They are still for sale, however we are currently out of stock and are awaiting new stock to be produced.

Unfortunately, production of the bracket sets is taking longer than we expected. We were hoping to have stock before Easter, but this is looking unlikely at this stage.  We hope it won't be more than another couple of weeks.  Sorry for the inconvenience. Baron/Connie, we're just back from the a trip that included the Gammons and the awning was great. The mechanism works a treat and all up it was so easy compared to setting up the standard shade sail. Perfect for sitting under when it rained. The "shade sail would not have cut it!
One question; while travelling on some very rough, rocky roads bouncing around i wondered if all that unsupported weight may, eventually, cause fatigue in the metal and lead to it  breaking in the middle? The awning is from ARB and the backing metal track seems to be quite strong and even on these rocky roads the set-up was not moving much at all, however, suggesting that there may not be an issue. Maybe a strap in the middle to add support, at least to allay my fears? Any thoughts chaps?

We've been using our awning / brackets for a few years now, and have had no problem with metal fatigue or any sag in the middle of the awning, at all.  The awning is still sitting as true as the day we installed it.  Not sure it needs a strap.

But, interesting thought, none-the-less.
